KGS helps design rituals for internal and external brand building.
Rituals are an underrated and underutilized brand strategic tool and expression for creating meaning, identity and belonging.
Normally we consider rituals as something belonging to ancient cultures or the realms of religion, but our entire existence is guided by rituals. Rituals anchor us both in the present and within a larger context of history, community and culture.
Rituals are stylized, repeated, symbolic actions we perform to:
The rituals we perform today often lack meaning, we forgot why we are doing them. It has become empty, meaningless performances. Modern people are meaning starved, missing ways to navigate the world. Brands can supply that, but it takes courage and authentic beliefs.

A beautifully simple and inclusive expression of Carioca identity takes place on Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro. Here, hundreds of people congregate on the large rock formation Pedra do Arpoado to watch the sunset. A communal act unifying primordial sun worship with Instagram culture. Camera phones are used as ritual props, the medium for connecting with the divine – capturing it: the sublimity, the energy, the immortality.”

In this digitized world where everything is getting increasingly abstract and intangible, we need, as physical beings, material objects to hold on to. Objects we can use as identity signifiers and props in embodied rituals. Objects is also a way to materialize brand beliefs and create a multi-sensorial connection between brand and costumer.
